SDG 13: Climate Action
MSUN stands at the forefront of climate change education and mitigation efforts. Its faculty and researchers conduct climate impact assessments, mangrove rehabilitation, and coastal vulnerability studies. Through extension activities, the university empowers communities to adapt to climate challenges by integrating scientific knowledge into local planning. MSUN also advocates for climate literacy, preparing students and citizens alike to become stewards of the planet.
MSUN reinforces the prohibition of single-use plastics by reducing waste and minimizing carbon emissions from plastic production and disposal. The initiative promotes sustainable practices through the use of reusable and eco-friendly alternatives, contributing to environmental protection and climate change mitigation.
