About Me

A little about me outside of work and academics...

I grew up in Connecticut with my parents and twin sister.  In 2017, I graduated from Trumbull High School and the Bridgeport Aquaculture School.  I split my time living in New York City, CT, or some other corner of the world in my undergrad, and currently reside in Michigan for my PhD program.

My hobbies include being around the people I love, swing dancing, reading, writing (mostly poetry), learning, going on walks, yoga, knitting, watching Netflix, and caring for my cacti and Betty the Betta. I love the beach, traveling, exploring cities, (over) thinking, discussing life and the universe, and enjoying the little things (and big things too, of course). I have loved all the places I have visited, but Spain and Hungary have my heart. One of the most amazing parts of traveling for me is meeting new, wonderful people, and I feel fortunate to have friends across the globe.

Below are some pictures of me doing things I love with amazing people.

The purple is where I have lived for more than a month. I hope to go to South America soon! (after the pandemic)
