After my graduation from Amarillo College, I attended West Texas A&M University. I received my Bachelors of Applied Arts & Sciences with a minor in education. I had all of those science credits from Amarillo College and I enrolled in the Post-Baccalaureate program to receive my teaching credentials. I interned my first year teaching and I found it to be the best year! I later worked as a first grade dual langauge teacher. I enjoyed it a lot, but the focus was not on teaching the culture and the actual language. It was teaching with the language. I really loved teaching elementary school, but I wanted to become a Spanish teacher. My high school Spanish teacher was a big influence in my life. I decided to take the teacher certification test for Spanish and from there I became a Spanish teacher.
