Dear [Hiring Manager's Name],
I’m excited to apply for the [insert position] at [insert school district]. I recently graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Elementary Education, along with a minor in Early Childhood Development and a Language Arts focus. I’ve always known I wanted to work with young learners, and I’m eager to bring my energy, creativity, and care to the classroom.
During my time at MSU, I had the chance to teach in both a four-year-old preschool and a first-grade classroom. Since then, I’ve worked as a long-term substitute in kindergarten and have subbed in classrooms across grades K–8. These experiences have helped me grow into a flexible, responsive teacher who understands how different learning needs show up at every stage.
The kind of classroom I want to create is one where students feel seen, supported, and excited to learn. Your district’s emphasis on student-centered learning and growth really aligns with my values. I’m also working toward my Master’s in Educational Technology at MSU, which has been a great opportunity to explore new ways to bring meaningful, tech-driven learning into the classroom.
