Detroit Metro Airport (DTW): https://www.metroairport.com, approximately 1 hour 20 min drive. 

Michigan Flyer (https://www.michiganflyer.com) is a very reliable option for transportation between DTW and downtown East Lansing (walking distance from all locations). Tickets need to be booked on the website. The trip takes approximately two hours.

Downtown East Lansing (the area around Michigan Flyer stop) has many restaurants.
