Who we are

EROF was started by a group of graduate students from the department of Entomology at Michigan State University. We are passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and increasing opportunities in STEM. Learn more about us here!

Jenna Walters (she/her) is the founder and a committee member of EROF. She is a pollination ecologist and PhD student in Dr. Rufus Isaacs lab studying the effects of extreme heat on blueberry pollination, looking at both the plant and their native bee pollinators. For fun, she loves taking pictures of flowers and bees and is an avid gardener.

Sharron "Ronnie" Miller (she/her) is an EROF committee member and is interested in increasing equity, inclusion, and justice in STEM. She's a PhD student in the Pollination Ecology lab at MSU and is studying bumble bee communities across human altered landscapes in Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling photography and the gym.

Zsofia Szendrei (she/her) is the faculty advisor for EROF, she attends meetings, provides feedback on documents, aids communication with administration, helps with deciding future directions and enjoys building a community centered around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She is also the Principal Investigator of the Vegetable Entomology Lab at MSU.
