The Learning Assessment Model (LAM) scaffolds learning in the Bailey Scholars Program and is informed by the Kolb Experiential Learning Cycle. Colearners experience this learning cycle multiple times a semester in ANR 210, 310, and 410. They also explicitly use the LAM to reflect on their learning in Bailey and at MSU in reflections posted to their digital portfolios hosted on Digication for colearners whose first Bailey class was before Fall 2023 and on the Humanities Commons for colearners who take ANR210 in Fall of 2023 or later. Understanding this cycle helps learners develop practices and identities that foster life-long learning.
Task 1: All Conveners - Complete Option 1 or Option 2:

Option 2: Read a short introduction to experiential learning.

Post your answer(s) as sticky notes to slide 2 of our Onboarding Jamboard.

Chelsea S. - ANR 210 Reflections - Suggested reflection: The final reflection on MCing
Browse the directory. While not all people listed in MSU's Digication directory are Bailey Scholars, most are. Here are some names to get you started: Will King, Casey Frump, Sydney Sharon, Zosha Kuiper, Audriyana Jaber, Francisco Hernandez, and Dustin Petty.
Task 3: Using as few as six sentences (one for each stop along the Bailey LAM), add a reflection on a recent learning experience of which you were a part to your Humanities Commons digital portfolio. Add a sticky note to slide 3 of our Onboarding Jamboard. In your note, identify which aspects of the reflection you found most challenging.
