If you do not already have a Humanities Commons account, create one using your MSU email address by clicking on the green register icon in the top righthand corner of the Humanites Commons launch page.
If you have previously created a Humanities Commons account under a non MSU email address and wish to link your MSU credentials, login to Humanities Commons from the launch page and then hover the cursor over your name to access "Settings." Click on "link another log-in method" and follow the prompts.
Step 3a: From the Humanities Commons launch page, click the green "Create a Site" link in the middle of the page.
Step 3b: Respond to the prompts to title your portfolio.
Step 3c: Choose your site privacy settings. I suggest selecting the second or third privacy setting. If you only want your learning community members to have access to your portfolio, you will select the fourth setting - "Visible only to registered users of this site". This selection will require you later to manually add all colearners in your class, Dustin, other fellows, etc.
Note: You can change privacy settings later from the the site Dashboard-->Settings-->Reading.
To edit your site, hover the cursor over your name in the top right corner of the Humanities Commons page, then "Sites", and then "My Sites." Click on your digital portfolio.
At the top of your site, click the "customize" icon.
TOLs 2-4 will require you to post to your Humanities Commons portfolio.
To post, first follow the instructions above in step 4 to access your digital portfolio.
Hover your cursor over "My Sites" at the top of the screen, select your digital portfolio, and then select "New Post."
Title your post. Add text and media. When you are done, be sure to click "Publish" in the top right-hand corner.
