Dr. Liao gave a seminar at Utah State University, and visited Dr. Luguang Wang's research group.
Dr. Liao attended the 30th annual conference of Institute of Biological Engineering (IBE) and gave a talk there.

Dr. Uludag-Demirer and the ADREC team worked with the American Biogas Council team to run the ABC operator school at MSU.
The ADREC team (Carter Monson, Emilia Emerson, Dr. Liao) attended the 2025 annual ASABE meeting at Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Liao visited the University of Bologna, Italy to give several lectures, visit renewable energy facilities, and develop research proposals.

Dr. Liao visited Dr. Truong Thanh Trung's research group at Can Tho University, Vietnam and gave a seminar there.
Dr. Liao and Dr. Smith testified in front of the Michigan House Agriculture Committee about transforming waste into a public asset: Michigan State University leads next-generation anaerobic digestion innovation (the recorded hearing).
The ADREC team demonstrated the mobile digester unit for EV charging at the West Michigan Food Processing Association (WMFPA) spring meeting at Hart, Michigan.
