At Farrington Gurney CofE Primary School we are determined for children to have the best possible start to their school life by unlocking a world full of potential and surrounding them with endless opportunities. Their days are full of smiles, fun and laughter, where we embrace every interaction as an opportunity to create a connection and impact on a child’s journey. Through listening to our children and effective interactions we promote curiosity, independence and resilience whilst enriching children’s vocabulary through challenges and play. All children should have the best possible chance to flourish, find fulfilment and experience life in all its fullness. We effectively plan experiences and learning environments that meet the needs of all of our children, building upon their interests and fascinations to ensure that we instil a love for learning. We aim to work collaboratively with parents and carers to encourage independent and enthusiastic learners who thrive and want to achieve their best. We want to cherish children who are creative learners; showing curiosity about the world around them, confident children who look forward to joining us each day and established communicators who are skillful in a language rich environment. We want children at Farrington Gurney CofE Primary School to feel happy, secure and excited to follow their own learning interests and develop in their very own way.
"The key to success is not rocket science. It is about time. Time for quality interactions between children and adults (not forgetting children and children). Time to talk, think and reflect. Time to discuss, time to listen." Alistair Bryce-Clegg
