Welcome to Turtle Class

Welcome to Turtle Class, we are Reception and Year One at Farrington Gurney and have great fun exploring inside and out!  On this page you will find some information about how we will be keeping ourselves busy over the year.  We feel privilegded to share your starting school journey with you and your children and thank you for your ongoing support.  To get in touch with us please email turtle@farrington.mnsp.org.uk 

PE Days are on Tuesday and Friday - please make sure all items of clothing are named.

Reading books will be changed on a Monday and we ask that children read at least three times at home each week.  Little and often works wonders for children's progress.  Your child will receive a decoding book and a sharing book.

Tapestry - check your Tapestry account regularly for exciting updates on what we have been up to!  It is always nice to share this with your child and hear what they have to say about what they have been learning about.  We love to read your comments and hear your thoughts about what we have been doing.

Don't forget water bottles, wellies and a coat - all named of course!

Star Moments - look our for these in your child's bookbag or they can be downloaded from Tapestry.  These are a great opportunity to share something your child has done that has made you proud.  It could be a certificate or something that they have been working on at home like cutting their own food or getting dressed.
