1. Under-Graduate (UG-Level) Courses

In the past 15 years, I was mostly involved in teaching several undergraduate courses. I consider, teaching any under-graduate courses as a challenge as well as an opportunity to learn again that topic from scratch. Hence I always found it to be very exciting and refreshing. List of UG courses in which I was involved mostly, is as follows:

Name of the Subject/ Subject Code/ No. of students/ Sem/ Credit

  1. VLSI Circuit and System/ EC 702/ 60/ 3

  2. VLSI and Microelectronics/ EC 602/ 60/ 4

  3. Signal and System/ EC 303/ 60/ 3

  4. Digital Signal Processing/ EC 701/ 60/ 3

Other UG-courses in which I am interested to be involved in the coming years are as follows: Information Theory, Basic electronics, Digital Communication Engineering etc. Although they are not my area of research directly but indirectly every subject is connected to others and teaching them will enable me to explore that connection and more over that subject once again.

2. Post-Graduate (PG-Level) Course

Apart from them I am in the process to design some specialized post-graduate courses. These courses are going to be system oriented and hence a group project and a term paper will always be included as a key component for grading. Some such courses that I am looking to design in next three years includes:

  1. Digital VLSI Design: This course can be treated as basic initial level course for final year UG or first year PG students related to the digital IC designs. Mainly power, delay, area, logic swing calculation using analytical/ simulation will be discussed in depth. Several optimization techniques also will be discussed for better concepts.

  1. Semiconductor Physics: Several multigate MOSFET structures, emerging FETs and their device physics will be discussed in this course. Several circuit simulation assignments and projects will be given.

  1. Low Power Digital VLSI Circuits: In this course I will try to lay a foundation of low power digital integrated circuit required for portable applications. Device/circuit level strategies to achieve low power will be discussed in depth. Several circuit simulation assignments and projects will be given.
