Students will learn some basic facts about their brain.
Students will define a brain NETWORK.
Students will understand that our brain is always making new connections or networks which helps us continue to learn and develop.
Students will understand that one way to continue to develop their brain is by setting new goals and working toward achieving them.
Students will be able to identify that good goals are specific, challenging, and doable.
Students will practice developing a goal and working toward that goal.
Students will learn that they need to use their flexible thinking when a roadblock stops them from reaching a goal.

Students will define and understand the function of three parts of their brain: AMYGDALA (guard dog), HIPPOCAMPUS (elephant), and Prefrontal Cortex (owl).
Students will understand what it means to FLIP YOUR LID when you have a strong emotional response to a stimulus.
