The countdown has officially begun.
Graduation parties, summer vacations, family reunions, summer jobs, outdoor movies, beach days—or maybe just some well-earned rest. There's a collective buzz of anticipation and excitement as we close out the school year and step into summer.
As I take a moment to reflect on this year, I’m filled with gratitude—for the memories, the laughter, and the new experiences we’ve shared. That’s my hope for every staff member, student, and parent or guardian: cherish the good times, grow through the tough ones, and commit to making each day better than the last. And always remember—it’s OK to pivot, change your mind, and try something new. Growth often comes from the unexpected.
Seniors:
This transition might feel daunting—but you’ve got this. Make every moment count, and remember: you can do hard things.
Juniors:
This year brought tests, stress, and a lot of talk about the future. Take a deep breath. Relax. Now’s the time to plan your next steps with intention.
Sophomores:
Take it all in stride. Explore activities that fuel your passions and help you grow into who you're meant to be.
Freshmen:
You made it through your first year of high school! No one expects you to have all the answers. So “lock in,” try that club, team, job, or group. Embrace your strengths and your weaknesses. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
Finally, a heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Karen Wolf and Ms. Maryanne Novello. Two beloved members of our counseling department are beginning their well-earned retirements. Thank you both for your unwavering commitment and dedication to the students of Morristown High School. You’ve left an indelible mark, and you will be deeply missed.
Wishing everyone an exciting, restful, and restorative summer.
See you all very soon!
Mrs. Kenny
Valedictorian

Mrs. Lisa Ednie and Mrs. Karen Wolf chaperoned a group of students who participated in the Atlantic Health Shadow Day at their corporate office in Morristown. We were joined by additional MHS students through the Neighborhood House as well as students from several other Morris County high schools. We rotated through five departments: Environmental Health/Safety, marketing (creative content, podcasts, ...), human resources, innovation, and ISS which deals with electronic medical records. Some interesting tidbits: The Atlantic Health hospitals have their own power plant and they grow bees to source honey. Students participated in a scavenger hunt and one of the MHS teams won prizes. It was an informative and interactive day.

Closing our second year, Be the First created unique opportunities for students to not only learn about the programs at college but we also created supports to encourage the completion of applications.
In the fall, our seniors were provided "Get It Done" sessions that enabled them to focus on completing the application during lunch. We fueled them with lunch and knowledge.
Guest speakers from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Caldwell University and County College of Morris discussed the wide variety of programs that support their students as well as offered insights into strengthening student's applications.
To close out the school year, we celebrated our seniors with a lunch from Macho Nacho to highlight their accomplishments as other members were able to participate and become inspired for the next step in their journey. As well, one of our seniors was gifted a laptop to begin their college journey!
If your child is the first one in the family to attend college, please email Monica.Tate@msdk12.net to be added to the Canvas classroom and receive invites for future activities.
