MES RTI Instructors - Meet our Team

Kara Loden

Hi, I'm Mrs. Loden! This will be my fifth year serving as an RtI Interventionist, and I can honestly say—I absolutely love what I do! Supporting students and helping them grow is truly my passion.

I’ve been part of the Mascoutah School District for 23 years and have been in education for a total of 28 years. It’s been a wonderful journey, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing students and staff.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and later completed my Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.

I’m excited for another great year of learning and growing together!

Suzanne Petersen

Hi, I'm Mrs. Petersen! This is my fifth year in RtI and my 20th year as an educator. I enjoy working within my community and serving the students around me! I am excited for another awesome year!

Kelli Reese

Hi, I'm Mrs. Reese! This is my 9th year as an RtI Interventionist, and I truly love the work I do! I've been fortunate to teach at Mascoutah Elementary School for the past 13 years, and this year marks my 24th year in education.

Mascoutah is such a special place—we have amazing students and I’m proud to work alongside an incredible team of educators.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Eureka College, and I’m excited to share that I recently completed my master’s degree in Teacher Administration!

I’m excited to continue making a positive impact and helping each student reach their full potential!

Julie Wallin

Ms. Julie has been serving our students in the the Mascoutah School District for over 20 years! She is passionate, cares deeply for our students and always goes over and beyond for them! We are so very lucky to have Ms. Julie on our team!
