Teacher Bio

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Delaware State University in 1993 and completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the same university in 1995. With over 20 years of teaching experience in both Delaware and Illinois, I am proud to currently teach at Scott Elementary.

My husband served in the Air Force for more than 20 years, during which we were stationed in Dover, Delaware; Altus, Oklahoma; and finally at Scott Air Force Base. Through these experiences, I have gained a deep understanding of the military lifestyle and the unique challenges faced by military children and their families.

I have two wonderful children who are now out of college and also live locally. These personal and professional experiences continue to inspire and guide my approach to teaching. I am passionate about creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
