Hi! My name is Mrs. Vahlenkamp, and I am entering my second year as the Behavior Interventionist at River Heights! You may recognize me as a familiar face as I previously taught Kindergarten here. This is my 11th year in the School District of the Menomonie Area.

When I am not at school, I enjoy going on walks with my family, connecting with friends, and chasing my three kiddos. My husband and I have a daughter, Bryleigh (6), a son, Bowen (3), and a daughter, Brenae (1) that keep us busy!

I am super excited for another great year of helping students grow and reach their behavior goals!

Some of the roles that I serve at River Heights involve:

• Working with students one-on-one and/or in small group settings to support their behavioral and social/emotional needs

• Proactively supporting students behaviors

• Utilizing de-escalation strategies for crisis intervention situations

• Providing general education classroom behavior support

• Giving an alternate setting for students to work through challenging behaviors
