We had a great camp! Campers worked hard to learn about different celestial bodies and then demonstrated that new knowledge in a variety of ways. Please click on each camper below to visit their website and view their creations, which include: posters about themselves and their celestial object, videos, Scratch-coded projects, virtual worlds in Cospaces, 3D-designed objects in Tinkercad, as well as a daily log of their activities. Together, we created an interactive diorama of the solar system, using Scratch and Makey Makey. You can view the final product below.
We created this diorama together. Campers used Perler beads to design and create their planet/object. They decorated the background with neon crayons. Copper tape was used together with Makey Makey and Scratch to make the diorama interactive; you can run the program to the right to hear each camper's facts.
To hear each camper's facts about their celestial object, click the green arrow to run the program, then use the space, up, left, down, right, A, S, D, W, F, and G keys to learn about our solar system and beyond!
