Student have been learning about library expectations.

Students have been practicing book care. Library Permission slips, including book care and expectations, were sent home. Thank you all for signing and returning those to me.

Students have been using OPAC (online public access catalog) to look up books and their call numbers (a books address) to locate books in the library.

Students have been learning how the library is organized.

Decorating Shelf Marker

Shelf Markers are used to hold the place of the book while the students are browsing in the library. They are also the students Libray cards. When they are done browsing they bring the selected book and card to check out.

Dewey Decimal Classifactaion

Students have been learning about the organization created by Melvil Dewey. Check out the DEWEY DECIMAL SYSTEM page on this website.
