Guidance Services

Our Guidance Program includes classroom Guidance, small groups, and individual sessions.

Classroom Guidance lessons may include school preparedness and success, zones of regulation curriculum, superflex curriculum, friendship, personal safety, communication skills, feelings, family, healthy choices, and/or transitions.

Individual sessions are scheduled as needed and often students are experiencing issues with social skills development, friendship, family changes, grief/loss, building self-esteem, coping with stress/anxiety, controlling feelings/impulses, behavior management, and/or conflict resolutions.

If your child is asked to participate in a Social Skills/Friendship Group they will have the opportunity to talk with peers in a small group setting, participate in a positive social activity, and practice social skills such as taking turns, good sportsmanship, and verbal communication skills. The groups usually meet once a week for approximately 30 minutes over a period of 8-10 weeks.
