Love and Care

Barrier-immersion Course

We organize observation and immersion in special education to enhance teachers’ and students’ acceptance, empathy, and assistance vis-à-vis students with physical and mental disabilities. These love and care activities include: classroom talks, film screenings, experience-sharing seminars by people with disabilities, physical disability simulation and immersion, and volunteering in assisted-living institutions, to create experience, awareness, acceptance, and understanding of how people with disabilities may or may not need assistance or care and gradually build an inclusive and friendly campus.

Charity Cakes – Gratitude

Creamy red bean wheel pies evoke gratitude for the circle of life and appreciation of one’s good fortune, love and heritage. Around Thanksgiving and Christmas, we design activities in the spirit of these festivities and teachers wheel bake wheel pies marked by the year’s theme to give to the students. On those days the classrooms and hallways are filled with the sweet aromas of kindness and appreciation between students and teachers. It’s a good custom to sometimes take the time to express one’s gratitude and appreciation.
