2025ASEP--Smart Environmental Actions: Youth Designing Future Cities
2025 Asian Student Exchange Program (ASEP)-
The 2025 Asian Student Exchange Program (ASEP) demonstrates Sanmin Vocational High School’s commitment to meaningful international collaboration through the joint project “Our City, Our Air.” SMVHS worked closely with Nagoya Commercial High School, Japan, supporting students and teachers in co-designing and completing a questionnaire survey to investigate urban air quality awareness and environmental behaviors in both cities.
This collaborative research process was fully integrated into SMVHS Hello! World International Weeks, where survey analysis became part of campus-wide learning activities. By embedding data-driven inquiry into an international context, students developed research skills, environmental literacy, and global communication competence, transforming English into a tool for real-world problem solving and youth action.
ASEP2024--"NET ZERO Green Lifestyle
2024 Asian Student Exchange Program (ASEP)-Net Zero Green Lifestyle
This year, the Asian Student Exchange Program (ASEP) focused on the theme "NET ZERO Green Lifestyle." In collaboration with Fukui Commercial High School, five Japanese students and five Taiwanese students from our school worked together on this project.
Through online meetings, we engaged in discussions and decided on our project topic: "Ugly Food." Together, we conducted research, developed ideas, and presented our findings. This experience not only deepened our understanding of sustainable living but also enhanced our communication skills, particularly in English speaking and cross-cultural exchange.
We are grateful for the valuable learning opportunity and sincerely thank our mentor, Mr. Tony Chao, for his patient guidance throughout the project.
Asian student Exchange Program (ASEP)
SMVHS has participated in Asian Student Exchange Program (ASEP) for more than 20 years. We had worked with Nara Ikuei High School, Japan, and won Platinum Awards. In 2021, we also worked with Hatyaiwittayalai High School from Thailand and won Gold Prize. Through cultural exchanges and academic presentations, our students enhance their English ability and broaden their global horizon.
