The calligraphy, "Sha-Chung"(the abbreviation of Sha-Lu junior High School), is the manuscript of our outstanding alumnus- Mr. Chih-Sheng Chen, writing in spring of lunar Dinghai year.

Mr. Chih-Sheng Chen's present position is the Director of the Taichung County Cultural Affairs Bureau;

School motto-"Chin Cheng Tuan Jie"(Vigorous, Sincere, and United)

After our former principal, Ke-Ji Chen, gathers the wide opinions from teachers, students and alumnus, "Chin Cheng Tuan Jie" ultimately become our school motto. "Chin Cheng" means Vigorous and Sincere, as the proverb says, "Complete sincerity can affect even metal and stone." Hope our students can be honest out of cheating, and always concentrate on learning to establish firm and solid foundations on studies. According to one's capacity is smaller than groups', students should learn to cooperate with others to develop ones' potenial and pursue self-actualization, that is the true meaning of "Tuan Jie."

Our School badge is deisgned by an art teacher, Guei-Yuan Tsai.

The theme of a plum blossom on its composition represents the fortitudinous character of Chinese people; The five petals represent possessing a balanced development in the domains of ethics, intellect, physique, social skills and aesthetics.

The verdant branches and leaves intertwined upward on both sides symbolize that students are full of vigor and vitality and teachers take care of students with love, to help them grow happily and healthily, becoming a complete national.
