Topic: Differs weekly

For everyone interested!

Every week, a topic will be determined and notified in advance to everyone.  You can fill up the Members Form to be one of MDID SS members. 

During the meetups, the speaker will introduce a topic and the attendants take turns to share what they found interesting about the topic, whether it's from an article, a video, a paper, or anywhere else. At the discussion, attendants are allowed to ask questions or comment at any time. This makes the atmosphere casual, just like when you're having a conversation with your friend. Despite that, you can still learn a lot about the topic by listening to others' presentations and engaging with people who're also interested in the topic.

Although sharing isn't mandatory for you to join the meetups, it is still highly encouraged, as many of our attendants say that they feel more engaged when they have something to share. Nevertheless, if you don't have time to prepare or feel uncomfortable talking, you're still welcome to join, and we're sure that you'll still find something interesting to you.

Obtain Certification and Become a Member!

If you attend 1/3 of the meetups within a semester, you will be awarded a certification of participation and have your name published on the Scientific Society website (if you wish).

If you attend 2/3 of the meetups within a semester or actively involve in Scientific Society's internal affairs (such as arranging society events), you will be awarded a certification of membership, have your name published on the Scientific Society website (if you wish), and receive a special gift from us.
