ATL Skills Class

Teachers: This once-a-week class for Grade 7/Year 2 students focuses on explicit teaching of ATL skills through a series of units centered on each of the five ATL categories or one of the ten ATL skills clusters. For a detailed syllabus, follow this link.

Student Files

The student files are where you keep samples of the work that you decide best shows your progress in the Five ATL Skills areas.

Do Nows

At the beginning of every class, you will be expected to...

  1. open your planner
  2. check your due dates
  3. work on a learning log

Grading

  • Measuring in this class will depend mostly on self-evaluations and reflections. You will do these at the beginning, middle, and end of different unit and activities.
  • You will not receive traditional grades (A, B, C, 90%, 80%, 70%) or criteria scores (1-8).
  • In the MYP, we want you to focus on the process of learning, not the end result.
