2019-2020 Recap:
-26 students rehearsed a total of 60 hours (30 rehearsals) to perform at 2 boys basketball games, 3 volleyball games, 1 high school girls basketball game, two university competitions, and completed their season at the Annual Mahomet-Seymour Jazz Dinner Dance.
-On February 8th, the Orange and Blues Band scored 40.33/45 and received a Division 1 rating and first place in Middle School Class A, and Grand Champion among Middle School Bands at the Eastern Illinois University Jazz Festival. Students Isaac Hanson, Aaron Rath, and Asiah Harrington were awarded outstanding musician awards, and Isaac Hanson was named the Middle School Performer of the day, earning a $250 scholarship to the Indiana State University Jazz Camp for the Summer of 2020.
-On February 15th, the Orange and Blues Band scored 92/100 received a Division 1 rating and first place among Middle School bands at the Indiana State University Jazz Festival. Isaac Hanson was named Outstanding Middle School Musician of the Day. Fun fact: This is the first time that the MSJH Jazz Band has ever been out of state!
-On February 29th, the students performed in the annual M-S Jazz Dinner dance, and BLEW THE DOORS DOWN! The performance was incredible, and if you missed it, you missed out!! You can watch the whole thing here:
