About Chorus:
The Middle and High School Choirs are designed to foster a positive and creative environment where students can explore their vocal abilities, work as a team, and develop music literacy. This course emphasizes self-expression through music, as well as collaboration within a group setting. Students will work on improving their solo singing skills, harmonizing with others, and building ensemble unity. Additionally, we will engage in bi-weekly song analysis assignments to deepen understanding and appreciation of music. This class is about more than just learning to sing—it's about building confidence, working together, and having fun while making music. Each student’s creativity and voice are essential to the success of the group, and together, we will create an environment that values expression, collaboration, and growth. Let’s make beautiful music together!
About Ms. Drew
About Ms. Drew
Ms. Aria Drew graduated from Castleton University (now Vermont State University at Castleton) in May of 2024 and was hired at the Monadnock Regional School District shortly after.
As a vocalist and instrumentalist, I bring a multifaceted approach to music education. My background allows me to connect with students on a personal level, fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to explore their musical potential. In addition to teaching chorus at MRMHS, I also teach K-1 music at MTC each day.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create inclusive and welcoming learning environments where students of all backgrounds and abilities feel supported and valued. Growing up in a community of small towns with small schools has also influenced my teaching style to be student-centered and more individualized.
I believe in the power of music to unite and uplift individuals,
and I am dedicated to fostering a sense of community and belonging within the music program.
Throughout my college career, I demonstrated my dedication to music education through leadership roles and ongoing professional development. I served as the University Chorale president, secretary, and Choir assistant, as well as the Assistant Director of Spirit Band at Castleton University. Separately, I was an RA (Residential Assistant) in college, managing student life. I also experienced hosting and attending various professional development events, traveling as far as Rochester, NY, for the NYSSMA Conference. These experiences have honed my ability to inspire, motivate, and lead both students and colleagues towards excellence.
