WHO IS DON GREEN?

• Don Green was the track & field coach at California Lutheran University 1970-1992

• Coach Green believed that track & field is for everyone and this meet embodies that spirit

TIMELINE

• Wednesday 3/05/25: athlete registration closes at 7:00pm

• Thursday 3/06/25: Friday night distance heats and all field event flights published by 7:00pm

• Saturday 3/08/25: credit cards will be charged for meet entries only if check not received at the meet

Don Green Memorial Track Meet

& Distance Carnival

March 7th and 8th, 2025

Event Days:

Friday: Distance Races, Frosh-Soph Field Events, meet start 3:30pm

Saturday: Sprints, Hurdles, Varsity Field Events, meet start 8:30am

Entry Procedure:

Registration is on athletic.net.  All events are listed but only distance events and field events will be pre-seeded.  Marks from 2024 meets are acceptable. Deadline to register athletes is Wednesday 3/05/25.  We will provide labels to each school on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

Clerking Procedure Friday:

All distance races and FS field events will be pre-seeded.  For distance relays, up to 2 teams per division may be entered.  FS athletes may do varsity relays and FS individual events.  FS field events: see below.

Clerking Procedure Saturday:

The clerk of the course will randomly seed all running races.  Athletes should report to staging at the beginning of each event.  For sprint relays, only 1 team per division is permitted.  FS athletes may do varsity relays and FS individual events.  Varsity field events: see below.

Field Event Information: All field event athletes will check in at event location and must have a competitor ID.  Flights will be published prior to the start of the meet (*this is new for 2025).

      High Jump: (2 pits) Head Judge: Imre Santha

              Opening Heights:  Boys F/S 4’4”, V 5’ Girls F/S 3’10”, - V 4’4”

     Pole Vault: (2 pits) Head Judge: Brooks Morris

The bar will be raised in one-foot increments for the first two heights and in 6-inch increments thereafter. Please remember to bring the CIF weight & pole documentation form.

Opening Heights: Boys F/S 7’6” - V 9’6”’ Girls F/S 5’3’- V 7’

Shot Put: 2 pits Head Judge Dave Carlson

3 attempts (Minimum throw marks: girls 20’ and boys 25’)

Discus:  2 pits Head Judge: Roy Garcia

              3 attempts (Minimum throw marks: girls 50’ and boys 70’)

Long & Triple Jump: 2 pits Head Judge Christian Dearborn

              3 attempts (triple boards are 24, 34, & 36)

General Information:

Each runner or field event participant will need a name tag with competitor number; athletes should also write a number on their hand.

Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top 5 in each event; each team will receive two medals for outstanding male and female athletes from your school. Each school will make their own choice for outstanding athletes.

Stadium Map: Bus parking locations, entrance, field event locations, all buses need to park in bus loop or visitor parking lots. No bus parking on city streets.

Spike Size: 3/16 Pyramid or needle

Coaches Meetings: Friday at 2:30pm, Saturday at 8:00am, both near finish line tent.

Packet Pick up: behind finish line tent
