The Missouri House Bill 638, also known as the "Missouri Dyslexia Legislation," was enacted in 2018 to improve the support and education of students with dyslexia in Missouri schools. This law requires that all students in kindergarten through grade three be screened for dyslexia, and that any student who exhibits risk factors for dyslexia must be referred for further evaluation. The law also mandates that teachers receive training in evidence-based interventions for dyslexia and related disorders.
