The MHS Peer Tutoring Program is a service available for all Middletown High School students seeking assistance with their assignments, assessments, and/or study habits. A student requesting services is a matched with a qualified student and is scheduled to meet once a week for academic support. Peer Tutor requests will be honored for the duration of the semester. Students are expected to fulfill this obligation (to meet with the tutor for the entire semester) unless notified otherwise. If a student wishes to continue into the next semester, notification is required and every effort will be made to accommodate this request.
To request a Peer Tutor, please click on the link below and complete the attached form. Please note that a student must be logged into their mpsri.net school email account to successfully complete the form:
Tutoring assignments depend on the availability of tutors in specific subject areas. Please allow 1-2 weeks after the initial request has been made for tutoring assignments to be filled. Once the request has been filled, the student will receive an email verification to their MHS email account. The student's teachers, advisors, and guidance counselors may be notified of the tutoring assignment. The Peer Tutoring Program is managed by the Middletown (RI) chapter of the National Honor Society. If you have any questions about the program, please reach out to Mrs. Silvia.
Any 11th or 12th grade students (NHS or otherwise) that are interested in serving as a tutor in the Peer Tutoring Program must submit the form linked below.
