Manchester High School’s dual enrollment program offers students the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school, allowing them to get a head start on their higher education. Through partnerships with the University of Connecticut, Central Connecticut State University and Connecticut State Community College, students can take college-level courses at a reduced cost, helping them save both time and money. Since its inception, participants have collectively saved $971,109 in tuition fees, making it an invaluable opportunity for students looking to get ahead academically and financially.
UConn Early College Experience
MHS is a partner with the UConn Early College Experience (ECE) program, which allows students to take UConn/college level classes while still in high school. Students who qualify for a fee waiver take the classes free of charge and those who don't pay a fraction of the amount a college student would pay to take the same class in college. UConn credits are accepted by 86% of Universities in the US so this is a great opportunity for students to start building their college transcript while still in high school. We offered 11 UConn classes to our students during the 2024-2025 school year (list is below) and are hoping to offer more next year. Students interested in taking UConn classes should talk to their school counselors or reach out to Dr. Levesque or Ms. Pal for more information.
