Environmental Club Coast Sweep at Johns Pond, October 2018
Mashpee High School's Environmental Club conducted a community service project cleaning trash around Johns Pond in Mashpee.
Skin and Scales presentation, June 2018
A big thank you to Leo Spinner Sr. of Skin and Scales Exotic Reptile and Amphibian Presentations for allowing all our science students to experience reptiles in a hands on fashion. Many of our students said that this was the best day of their year.
Southwick Zoo, June 2018
Environmental Science students witnessed biodiversity first-hand at the Southwick Zoo. In addition to viewing a great variety of animals, students became aware of environmental issues facing many of the animals on displey.
Barnstable County Correctional Facility, May 2018
Forensic Science Students toured the Barnstable Correctional Facility and learned about the procedures related to incarceration. Thank you to Shaun Cahill for taking the time to engage our students in thoughtful discussion and an in-depth look into occupations within the criminal justice system.
Museum of Science Boston, January 2018
Biology students enjoyed exploring the varying exhibits at the Boston Museum of Science followed by a show at the Omni Theater. This was a great opportunity to enhance classroom lessons with hands-on experiences in a fresh atmosphere.
Bridgewater State University CityLab, October 2017
Students from our Forensics class visited Bridgewater State University and conducted DNA electrophoresis using state of the art technology. Thank you Kim McCoy, staff, and students for hosting this experience for our students.
