About Ms. Pickering

I’m so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This will be my 7th year teaching. Previously, I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th and 8th grades. But 4th grade is my favorite and I am so excited to be back teaching the BEST grade!

I love to learn, so much that I have finished two Master’s degree! My favorite part of teaching is helping my students continue or rediscover their love for learning. This past summer, I was one of Millard's Elementary Summer School administrators. I enjoyed working with all of the students and teachers!

When I’m not teaching, you can find me on a walk with my dog, Beatrice, at a coffee shop, eating nachos or Runza, or hanging out with my family! I am the oldest of three. My brother, Sam, works for an orthodonist office and my sister, Lizzie, works at a clothing boutique.

A note about snack and water bottles:

Students may bring ONE HEALTHY snack daily.

Please don't send chips, candy, cookies or messy/cheesy snacks. Students are often working and eating at the same time, and sticky fingers and materials don't mix.

Students should bring a SPILL-PROOF water bottle daily.

If your child brings their iPad home, they have HOMEWORK! Please be sure that they are FULLY charged when they bring them back to school.
