🥨Snack-Water Bottles🥤

Students may bring ONE HEALTHY snack daily.

Please AVOID send chips, candy, cookies or messy/cheesy snacks.

Students are often working and eating at the same time, and sticky fingers and materials don't mix.

Students should bring a SPILL-PROOF water bottle daily.

📱Student IPads

If your child brings their iPad home, they have HOMEWORK! Please be sure that they are FULLY charged when they bring them back to school.

📝homework

We ask that they Read 20 minutes each evening. So try 10 minutes after school and 10 minutes before bed. If they can play on their electronics, then they can read! If they read, initial the planner or reading log.
Math homework will be sent home on the first day of each week and will consist of front-and-back pages stapled together. Homework should be completed and returned the following Monday.
If something is highlighted in their student planner, it is HOMEWORK. If unfinished work is found in the "Homework" side of their binder, it's homework.

📌Planners-Binders

Parents need to sign the planner each night to have students practice taking out and also emptying the papers in the "STAY AT HOME" pocket. All papers left in their colored folders should be returned to school. When students read at home, you can also initial their reading log on the days the read next to the date!

The Rohwer Flyer is the school-wide newsletter. It is published weekly. You can access it HERE.

📚Rohwer Reading Program

There are 10 "Millard Pick" books that your child can read. If they read all 10 they can be on the Rohwer "quiz bowl" team and compete in a competition. Along with finishing those 10 books, they will receive a grand prize by meeting their set reading goal with their teacher. This is partly run by our reading interventionist Ms. Petz.
