If your child brings their iPad home, they have HOMEWORK! Please be sure that they are FULLY charged when they bring them back to school.
If something is highlighted in their student planner, it is HOMEWORK. The 4th graders are working on this skill. I ask that they Read 20 minutes each evening. So try 10 minutes after school and 10 minutes before bed. If they can play on their electronics, then they can read! If they read, initial the planner or reading log.
Parents need to sign the planner each night to have students practice taking out and also emptying their binder. When student read at home you can also initial their reading log on the days the read next to the date!

There are 10 "Millard Pick" books that your child can read. If they read all 10 they can be on the Rohwer "quiz bowl" team and compete in a competition. Along with finishing those 10 books, they will receive a grand prize by meeting their set reading goal with their teacher. This is partly run by our reading interventionist Ms. Livingston.
We utilize IXL in our classroom daily. IXL is a systematic way to troubleshoot each student’s unique math, reading and writing roadblocks, and put them on the path to success. Click below to further understand the importance of IXL in our classroom.
