About Mrs. Betts

About Me

Hello! My name is Mrs. Betts, and I am the IB-MYP and HAL Coordinator at North Middle School. I attended college at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and received my Bachelor's Degree in Communications/Journalism. I then attended College of St. Mary and received my secondary teaching certification. I have also received a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Doane University. I have been in education for over 20 years, previously teaching 8th grade Honors English and English at Russell Middle School before taking on my role as IB-MYP and HAL Coordinator.  

In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband, Greg, and two children, Parker and Madeline. As a family, we enjoy watching a variety of sporting events and traveling. Personally, I also enjoy running, shopping, reading, and spending time with friends.
