Proquest SIRS Issues Researcher provides background and current analysis and understanding of current and pervasive Leading Issues. Analysis and opinions cover the pros, cons, and everything in between on the most researched and debated social issues

Aluka is a collection of databases that includes  World Heritage Sites - Africa, and Struggles for Freedom - Southern Africa. The Aluka collections will be embedded in JSTOR in the future.

Global Plants is the world's largest database of digitized plant specimens and a source for international scientific research and collaboration. This database will be embedded in JSTOR in the future.

Proquest - Black Freedom Struggle in the United States (Website) provides historical newspaper articles, pamphlets, diaries, correspondence and more from specific time periods in U.S. History marked by the opposition African Americans have faced on the road to freedom. 

CultureGrams provides concise, reliable, and up-to-date country reports on daily life and culture, including the history, customs, and lifestyles of people from more than 200 countries of the world. 

Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites.

World Book Online is a website that provides access to an encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas, homework help, study aids, and curriculum guides. 

NebraskAccess, a service from the Nebraska Library Commission, provides online access to thousands of full-text magazines, journals, newspapers, genealogy resources, business information, and biographies. The databases include Explora, MasterFILE, My Heritage, Legal Information Reference Center, Biography Reference Bank, Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection, WorldCat, NoveList Plus, Consumer Health Complete, Small Business Reference Center, Biography Reference Center, Science & Technology Collection, and FirstSearch

Soundzabound is a searchable collection of royalty free, licensed music that can be downloaded and used in student presentations without having to obtain special permission from artists or publishers. 

Openverse has a searchable collection of images and audio files that are under a Creative Commons license or is in the public domain. Items found in their Openverse can be used for free, as long as proper attribution is given.

DocsTeach has a database of primary resources, historical documents, speeches, posters, photographs, maps, etc. from the National Archives on a number of historical topics.

dig.ccMixter is a searchable collection of music and sounds that are licensed under Creative Commons and can be used for free, as long as proper credit is given.
