All students can learn and all students can succeed.
All students have worth and are a unique component of developing our school culture.
All students should have access to and opportunity for high-quality education.
All students are entitled to a safe, caring, and respectful environment.
All students should have access to a comprehensive school counseling program.
Effective school counseling is a collaborative process involving school counselors, students, families, teachers, administrators, and educational stakeholders.
Montclair students demonstrate academic and career success and are well-rounded global citizens that create safe, caring, and respectful environments in their community. Our students appreciate the individual worth and cultural diversity of all community members.
The Montclair Counseling Program will empower each student to demonstrate character, master knowledge, and apply skills to thrive as a responsible, global citizen. I will provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program that includes; academic success skills, career and college readiness, and social and emotional learning. I will promote a positive school culture, by embracing individual worth and cultural diversity. I am committed to creating a safe, caring, and respectful environment. The counseling program will work to provide communication with all stakeholders; students, parents, teachers, and the community, in order to have positive relationships.
