TB tests:
TB tests:
A copy of TB test needs to be given to Mrs. Merten the first week of class.
You must have 2 copies, one for CNA and one EMT.
The test has to be done within a year of you going to clinical. If you are in the last CNA class next year (after Spring Break- March 2019), your TB test has to be done after May 25th, 2018.
Class Time and Hours Requirements
Class Time and Hours Requirements
This class is regulated by the state of Nebraska and Metro Community College for the number of hours you are in class. Any class time missed MUST BE MADE UP before or after class.
Schedule college visits, vacations and sports and activity around your CNA class.
Clinicals
Clinicals
During the last week of the course you will be going to clinicals. These will be 3 evening shifts with each being 8 hours in length. They will go from 12:15pm to 9:30pm on the 3 scheduled dates. The dates are pre-set and are a REQUIREMENT. You CANNOT miss any clinical time.
State Testing
State Testing
The last 2 days of class are used to state test each student to certify them with the State of Nebraska. The student will sign up for a time in the weeks prior and be responsible to show up at their assigned time. They will take the state certification test at this time.
