While school counselors and staff are available to provide guidance and support regarding NCAA eligibility requirements, it is ultimately the responsibility of the student and their family to understand, monitor, and ensure that all NCAA eligibility requirements are met. Students and families should regularly review NCAA requirements, including approved courses, academic standards, amateurism requirements, and registration deadlines, and should communicate with the appropriate school personnel and the NCAA Eligibility Center when questions arise. Meeting graduation requirements does not necessarily guarantee NCAA eligibility; therefore, students and families are encouraged to take an active role in planning and monitoring their academic progress and eligibility status.Â
