1. Tuesday, January 19th is National Popcorn Day! When I was your age, we didn't have microwave popcorn. We put oil in a pot, cooked it until it was sizzling, then we added popcorn kernels, put the lid on, and listened to the explosion of popcorn popping- when the kernels were hot enough, they popped! Sometimes we used an air-popcorn popper. Click on the link below for the words.
If you hover your mouse over it, there will be a link to click on so you can watch the video and listen to the song.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. And since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Oh it doesn't show signs of stopping, and I've brought some corn for popping. The lights are turned way down low, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
When we finally say goodnight, how I hate going out in the snow. But you'll only hold me tight, all the way home I'll be warm!
Oh the fire is slowly dying, and my dear we're still goodbye-ing, but as long as you love me so, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
3. Click on the link below to follow along with "Winter Wonderland". If you need help, as a family member to help you out!

Gone away is the bluebird. Here to stay is the new bird. He sings a love song, as we stroll along. Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman, and pretend he is Parson Brown. He'll say "are you married?", we'll say "No man! But you can do the job when you're in town!"
Later on, we'll conspire as we dream by the fire. To face unafraid, the plans that we made. Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman. And pretend that he's a circus clown. We'll have lots of fun with Mr. Snowman, until the other kiddies knock him down!
When it snows, ain't it thrillin'? Though your nose gets a chillin'? We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way, walking in a winter wonderland. Walking in a winter wonderland!
