We had a great first week of classes in the library! We discussed taking good care of books with all students, and with older students we also talked about expanding our choices of books and reading something new and different this year. 

In technology class, we reviewed all of the expectations for iPad use at school (and at home for older students). This next week Kindergarten will learn how to use a few simple apps, and practice for their very first MAP test! Other students will be introduced to a reading app or complete an activity on taking good care of books.

Cather Book Club (4th and 5th grade only) will begin in October. Information will be available to your students in the library in the next couple of weeks.

Preschool story time starts in September! If you have a 3, 4, or 5 year old, or know someone else that does, please try to attend if you can! It's a great way to get a head start on becoming familiar with the building and practicing social skills! Fliers should be coming home this week in one of your student's backpacks.

• If your student needs medication at school, please have a parent or guardian drop it off in the office and sign a medication card. It will be kept in the health room until needed. Students are not to carry any medication in their backpacks, even cough drops. Thank you for your cooperation!
