Please Note: All Mini-Mounties Pre-K locations are currently at capacity for the 2025–2026 school year. Families may submit a waitlist registration only. If space becomes available, families will be contacted directly in the order applications were received.

Tentative Timeline for the 2026–2027 School Year

Note: Dates are tentative and may shift based on state guidance and provider updates.

Updated registration information for the 2026–2027 school year will be posted on this website by November 15, 2025.

Tentative Key Dates (subject to change)

• Information Session (All Providers): Early January 2026, 5:30–6:30 PM (Location TBD)
  
  

• Application Opens for New Families: Early January 2026, immediately following the Information Session, 9:00 AM
  
  

• Application Deadline for Priority Consideration: Mid-January 2026, 9:00 AM
  
  

• Placement Notifications Sent: Mid to late January 2026, following the application deadline
  
  

• District Registration Opens for Accepted Families: Late January 2026

If your child has been placed at a provider location (MCPK, Neighborhood Childcare, YMCA, MCDC, MSU), you will need to complete the registration for BOTH Montclair Public Schools AND the assigned provider location. For DLC, Nishuane, CHB, and Hillside only the MPS registration is required. Please DO NOT complete these forms if you are on the waiting list and have not been assigned a location.
