About me...

"Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten" ~Lilo & Stitch

Hello Morris Plains School Community,

I am very honored and proud to be your school nurse at Borough School.

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. My prior nursing experience includes working in the hospital setting in the areas of Maternal Child Health as well as experience in school nursing.

I have a strong passion in caring for others, which is why I chose to pursue a lifelong career in the Nursing Profession. My primary goal is ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those in our school community. I chose to leave the hospital setting and pursue my School Nurse Certification at Rutgers University. As a school nurse, I feel privileged to have this opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families every day.

My objective and focus will be on the promotion of health and prevention of disease throughout the school year.

I welcome and encourage any information that you can provide me regarding your child’s health concerns or needs. I would like to keep an open line of communication with you.

I truly look forward to meeting each of you. I am very excited to be your school nurse!

Be well,

Mrs. Allison Mayhood
