Alabama History Institutes - Summer PD lasting a weekend, comes with a small stipend, variety of different programs to help you utilize resources from the Alabama Department of Archives and History - focuses on History
Space Academy for Educators - Summer PD lasting 5 days. Highly recommend by Amy Campbell. Go to the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL and train like an astronaut...and an educator. Resources are provided to incorporate into your classroom around STEM/STEAM and team building. Room and Board and a bunch of goodies (like a super cool flight suit) are included. The program is free. Applications open in November.
