Students who fail to meet this minimum grade requirement or who withdraw from a course will be suspended from the program for a minimum of one term. The one-term suspension may not be served during the summer.
MPS Dual Enrollment: Quick Steps to Get Started
All DEDC program participants must adhere to district and post-secondary institution deadlines. Deadlines include admission, scholarship, registration, and course approval dates. In addition, students must adhere to course schedules and assignment submission dates. Imposed consequences as a result of “failure to comply” are the student’s responsibility.
Montgomery Public Schools is proud to partner with Alabama State University to offer a College Readiness course designed for students who do not meet the unweighted 3.0 GPA requirement but have at least a 2.75, for dual enrollment. This course is also open to students who are exploring their interest in college but are unsure about the next steps.
This innovative course provides students with the tools and support they need to build confidence and prepare for success in their academic journey.
