Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) was developed by the Muhammadiyah Institute of Teacher Training and Education (IKIP) of Yogyakarta. IKIP Muhammadiyah of Yogyakarta, as a higher education institution, was developed from the branch of FKIP Muhammadiyah of Jakarta in Yogyakarta, which was established on November 18th, 1960.
In 2023, the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education granted Institutional Accreditation of "UNGGUL" to Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD). There are eleven faculties at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, each offering undergraduate, graduate, professional, and vocational programs. Several study programs focusing specifically on each subject of expertise are available at each faculty.
UAD keeps enhancing its range of services to give its students a nice place to learn. Numerous partnerships, including those with academic and research institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and industrial institutions on a national and worldwide scale, continue to be improved. With the help of these numerous partnerships, it is anticipated that students will have the best learning opportunities and experiences, aligning with Muhammadiyah's educational goals.
