This course will provide you with knowledge from the basics of drawing. We will review the Art Elements that include for example: Line, Shape, Form, Value, Texture, and Space. Each unit will develop art concepts from the Elements and Design Principles in order to apply for a better understanding of the role of art in contemporary society as well as in context within art history. The course units include: Collage Detail, Lg. Grid Portrait, 1-2pt. Perspective, Calligram, Tessellation, etc. There will be a variety of drawing media used. As a developing artist you will learn about conceptual intelligence, messaging, and participating in the visual culture around you.
