You can read through the syllabus that is attached to learn more about our objectives for the year. All students will need to check their school emails to receive the invitation to our Google Classroom site for the year. If you do not receive an email with the code to join, please email me at Erin.Brown@mpls.k12.mn.us. The main materials needed for this class are a reusable water bottle, SmartPhone w/video capability (helpful but not necessary), stretchy and comfortable dance clothes and athletic shoes for hip-hop units. I look forward to meeting each of you on the first day of classes!
How to Succeed in DC1:
Attend all classes as you are able: show engagement throughout the dance classes and participate in the group collaborative work.
Actively collaborate with peers on projects.
Complete all projects on time and post on Google Classroom.
Grades will be based on engagement in concepts & rehearsal contributions, Create & Perform Projects, and quizzes at the end of each quarter. Each quarter will have 2-4 projects to complete with a short quiz or reflection at the end of the quarter to check for understanding of concepts and vocabulary.
