Seward Physical Education

Welcome back to the 2021 - 2022 School year

Lots of big changes happening at Seward this year. We have a new principal, different grade levels, a new start time, lots of new faces. Another change is the specialist schedule. This year we will be on a day rotation for specialists. The rotation will include Physical Education, Art, Music, Media, Health, and Science. Since we are on a 6 day rotation, I recommend if able to have your children leave a pair of tennis shoes at school in their cubby/locker so they are always prepared for PE class.

Below is the Seward PE schedule.

A little about me

My name is Jennifer Engelken, aka "Ms. Huff" (my maiden name). I've been a Seward Shark since 2019 and have had three wonderful children in that time. My son Wyatt and my twins Graham and Audrey. I'm quite busy at home but wouldn't have it any other way, I love children and look forward to every day teaching.

I see full day High-Five, Children's House, E1, and E2 classes once every 6 days.

Prior to Seward I taught Physical Education at Lyndale Elementary School for six years. I've also taught in Perham, MN and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

I have a B.A. in Psychology from Knox College, my B.S. in Physical Education Teacher Education from St. Cloud State University, and my M.A. in Education with a Culturally Responsive Teaching focus from St. Mary's University in MN.

I live with my husband Eric, our son, and our two cats Meelo & Mango. In my free time I love spending time with my family & friends, running, hiking, traveling, and playing kickball. I'm from Wisconsin and love the Packers, Badgers, and cheese! :-)
