Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Sandy Krivanek and I just moved to Minneapolis from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I earned my BS in Secondary Education - Social Sciences from the University of Nebraska, and my Master's of Education from the University of New Mexico.

While this is my first year teaching at North, I taught Social Studies and AVID 9-12 for 4 years for Albuquerque Public Schools. My teaching practices are shaped by the needs and wants of my students. I want the classroom to be a reflection of the community, and I cannot wait for what this year will bring!

When I'm not teaching, I love to bike, go on walks, swim in a lake, and just be outside. I also enjoy reading, traveling anywhere and everywhere, and spending time with my husband and two cats.
